My Story…

Growing up, I had a few family members get addicted to prescription drugs.  I saw the affect it had on their families, friends, and also their personal well being.  It just broke my heart, and I hate to see that happen to anyone.  Unfortunately,  this is happening to many families in the United States.  The number of overdose deaths from pain killers more than tripled from 1999 to 2006 – Phamacoepidemiology & Drug Safety.

 

I have been very hesitant of taking prescription drugs as well as some over the counter medications.  I believe they have a definite need in our society, but are very easy to abuse and over use.  I was scared that I too could become addicted to them as I have seen so many family members, as well as friends, fall into.  Being reluctant to take anything.. not for sore muscles, not for headaches, not for stomachaches, etc.  I would just try to deal with the sickness and get over it!  But, one day it happened and I woke up.  I realized that I was purchasing the large Costco size bottle of Excedrin and taking them daily to get rid of my annoying headache.  Excedrin works, and works well, but I knew that I needed to do something different and I didn’t want to be dependent on it.

 

Thankfully, a coworker introduced me to doTERRA’s essential oils.  I started using Frankincense every morning in my moisturizer.  After about a week I noticed that I hadn’t had my daily headache in a few days.  I hadn’t needed, nor wanted, to grab my Excedrin bottle.  I realized that this essential oil was actually helping me and I no longer was an Excedrin junkie!  Little did I know Frankincense helps with many things, including helping minimize wrinkles!  Who doesn’t want that!!

 

I love using doTERRA’s natural essential oils because they are 100% pure, safe, effective, and much much cheaper than over the counter medications.  It makes me feel so good knowing I’m putting something in my body that is from plants.. instead of synthetics.  Essential oils have been around for thousands of years and I find it amazing that we can use a simple- natural- essential oil to help with almost any ailment.

 

I now feel the need to help every family I can, by introducing them to the amazing affect essential oils can have on their life.  There is just about an essential oils for every ailment.  They are very easy to use & naturally safe! EVERY FAMILY DESERVES TO THEM IN THEIR MEDICINE CABINET!!!
